This is the laptop for my three-week school internship in administration at the Chair of Material Flow and Warehouse Management at TU Dortmund University.
Hello, my name is Semia Bilik and I am in my second year at the BFZ vocational college. To complete my school-leaving qualification, I am doing a three-week school internship in administration at a logistics department at TU Dortmund University.

Hi, I’m Semia Bilik – I attend Karl-Schiller-Berufskolleg (vocational college), class BFZ 2, to complete my school qualification. I’m completing a three-week school internship in the field of administration at the Chair of Material Handling and Warehousing at TU Dortmund. I chose this area because I’m interested in logistics and research and wanted to see how projects work in practice.

During my internship, I gained practical experience working in the administration and secretariat. I also gained insights into public relations and learned about the TU Corporate Design Manual. I also visited the research hall and saw the workflows and technical processes, for example SKALA, a demonstration of the logistics project. The internship was really exciting and educational.

I learned many new functions in the office program Word that I did not know before and can use now. I really liked the team because everyone communicates well and helps each other. The internship was very interesting and I learned a lot.

I particularly enjoyed seeing how real projects are planned and presented. I now feel more confident handling tasks on my own and getting into new topics. I would definitely recommend this internship because you can learn a lot in short time. What stayed with me the most was how friendly and open everyone was.
